I've bailed on the SYAC. Let me rephrase that. I haven't just bailed; I went out in a blaze of glory. With sparks flying out of my rear! Bells and whistles and sparklers and the whole works. Maybe even some of those whirly things that spin around super fast on the ground.
You get the idea.
See, yarn is my therapy. Shopping for yarn is my reaction to stress. (Oh, now we get it)! And shopping for sock yarn is my preferred method of fiber therapy. So stressed (which is pretty much my standard MO) =yarn shopping=new sock yarn. And when you get a chance at a score like this, you don't waste it!

New photo taken when the sun came out!
For the purists among you, the original photo can be seen here.
And Julia? You so rock on the delivery, girlfriend!

hehehe...I love it all. I love the sparks flying out of your rear too. How, pray tell, did you manage to score sooo much Vesper when I can't even get one skein every three months when kpixie has it? To whom should I be groveling? And yay for us getting our priorities straight!

I am so so jealous. I've never seen Vesper except in blogland and it's turning me into a bitter and angry hag (who is still in the SYAC, however).
Um, well, OK. In the interest of full disclosure - I was having a bad day today, too (must be going around), so I bought two shawl kits from Fiddlesticks knitting for summer lace in Zephyr wool/silk lace weight.
My life is just so hard, isn't it?

Holy Crap! That's the most Vesper I've ever seen at once. Except maybe what's in my stash. ;-)

hehe WOW! So now you don't have to wait until July? Hmmmmmm....
I'm so so so glad it wasn't my yarn that put you over the edge. I totally wouldn't contribute to someone falling off the yarn wagon. No way. :)

Oh, I so understand. I'm feeling a bit in need of some sock yarn myself. Or some laceweight, but since we JUST purchased a house... I'm trying to restrain myself. That Vesper - just lovely.

Holy Moley!!!! How in the world did you get that much Vesper? I've been stalking it for so long.....can't find any....not one skein! Sigh. The search continues.
At least you went out in a blaze of glory. Any sock knitter in her right mind would have done the same.

HEH! Didn't I TOTALLY call this about 2 weeks ago? You may have given up on the SYAC, but with good reason- that's a tasty bucket o' sock yarn.

And as for the exodus led by the "moses" amonst us.. Way to go girl ! This was a great idea (the leaving that club, not the joining) Whyever would anyone wants to deprive themselves of something that is good for you???

Hmm and I thought that was fireworks going on outside my window. If I had know it was you, I would have went outside and waved to you!
Happy to hear your news! Hope I helped in some small way when I was encouraging you to buy yarn a while ago. hehe
Oh, and love the new stash!

Oh MY......it looks like a summer rainbow!!!! I SOOOO subscribe to your yarn shopping for stress theory!! MUCH cheaper than therapy and oh so much more fun!! LOL!! I have GOT to get my sock demons exorcised.....sock yarn is WAY too pretty for me to be missing out on all the fun!!!

If you're going to do something, do it with gusto! If you had bought just one skein of sock yarn, your enjoyment of it might not have been enough to drown out your SYAC abandonment guilt sufficiently. But with all those skeins -- well, who could feel guilt amidst all that beauty? I particularly like the firey earth tones on the far right.

Hehe...I so hear you. Great reliever of stress = coming out of a yarn store with a shiny new bag of yarn or (sometimes even better) going to the mailbox to see that there is NEW YARN inside.
Heaven.

Wahahaha! I love you so much! I also love your yarn. If that's not a pick-me-up for you I don't know what would be. Just seeing the picture makes me all warm and fuzzy inside (the colors of Vesper certainly help that feeling along). Outstanding example of "Following Your Bliss."

Beautiful display! Glad that the sun came out for you.
I can't use the stress reduction therapy of stash acquisition at the moment, because I am having to get rid of so much rubbish from the house. I have to live vicariously through you!!!! So Thank You for this Stress Buster!!
