Exra Points for Using Stash?

The funk, the slump, the mind numbing knitter's ennui continues. There is, however, light at the end of the tunnel! In preparation for Amazing Lace, I dove into the stash and came up with the following possibilities. (And yes, you read that right! All of the candidates are straight from the stressreaction stash. Gold star for Leah! Woo-Hoo)!!

First up is the Pink Puzzle Wrap from the Simply Stunning collection across the pond at Heritage Knits! Same to die for Kidsilk Haze, but obviously not pink.

Rowan Kidsilk Haze in Liqueur.

Next is the Trellis Scarf from the Spring 2006 issue of Interweave Knits. Lovely KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud in Peppermint.

Say it with me Becky! Alpaaaaaaaaaaaaca!! Hee!!

Third up? Another bow to the idol alpaca! KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud in Horizon. Frost Flowers and Leaves by Eugen Beugler from A Gathering of Lace.

Finally, last, but certainly not least is The Shetland Tea Shawl by Dale Long, also from A Gathering of Lace. Hand painted lace pure wool from Handpainted.com in Dusty Rose.

Now the funs starts, and you all can see where I am going with this. We can, after all, probably only knit one of these lovelies between Memorial Day and Labor Day. So the question is which one? Leave me a comment and let me know which your favorite is. I can't promise that the majority will rule, but I can promise to be eternally grateful for the input!

I demand to see the FROST FLOWERS AND LEAVES!!!! Though Trellis would make a lovely runner up. And ya know, same ennui chez moi. What's in the water?

The Shetland Tea Shawl - be different. No one else is doing that.

Oh I vote for the Pink Puzzle Wrap! Pretty! I haven't seen that one before. I have been trying to decide on something lacey to knit too and I really like that. New to me. And well.... Kidsilk haze... what could be better than that? ;)

I'll be doing FFL so it would be nice to have company. Or the Shetland Tea Shawl--love that one. I don't think Trellis would be enough of a challenge.

I have to go with Frost Flowers and Leaves. It will keep you cool all summer long!

Puzzle wrap! Puzzle wrap!! I love that shawl - so pretty and definitely enough of a challenge... proper size and level of difficulty to last through to the end without making you so crazy you want to toss is out of the jeep during the Amazing Lace. heh Puzzle wrap!!

Did you vote on my blog poll yet? Hm? :)

Dave:

Shetland Tea Shawl ... definitely. No, I mean Pink Puzzle. No, no, I mean Shetland Tea Shawl. Crap, I keep getting them confused: Pink Puzzle. NO, the red one. Arrrgg, I mean Rose.
Does that help? :-)

FF&L gets my vote, but they're all gorgeous. I'm also dying to see how Alpaca Cloud knits up. I'm really tempted to order some when I'm in the States next week.

I've done the Shetland Tea Shawl and I've had my eye on the FFL shawl for a LONG TIME - do THAT ONE!!!! I love the colorway of the alpaca you have for that also.

Beck:

It's so hard to pick! I've heard that the FFL can be a bit boring after a while. Now while I can't imagine that, that's what I've heard said. But it's one that I've been dying to knit.

The Puzzle wrap is beautiful. I hadn't seen that one before. I forget about that website! Would love to see you do that one! I've got my eye on several of the ones in AGOL.

whew... my head is spinning just lookin' at those pictures - so, here's my vote:
1)Frost Flowers
2)Trellis Scarf
or maybe that was
1)Trellis Scarf
2)Frost flowers

Is this why you asked for input? Are you flippin' back and forth?

NICE STASH btw.

Mia:

They're all so beautiful, but I think the Shetland Tea Shawl is especially lovely!

It is impossible to choose!! Frost flowers or the Shetland should be first, me thinks. You really must knit them all over time.

Alpaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaca!

The Shetland Tea one calls out to me the most. That's some seriously gaw-geous lace.

Wow, what amazing choices. Nice stash, too! I'm partial to FF&L, but any one of those shawls would be gorgeous.

Kira:

I vote for Pink Puzzle Wrap!! I too have pland for Lace this summer. But haven't really narrowed it down to any patterns. I will watch with interest how you get on!

The pink puzzle wrap -- I love it! But any of them would be lovely!

Be crazy -- do all of them!

Frost flowers! But really, they would all make for interesting (and pretty and nerve-wracking) knitting.

They are all gorgeous. I would go for the puzzle wrap but that may be because I LOVE the colour of yarn you've chosen for it. Lace looks SO complicated, you must have the patience of a Saint.

AH MI GAWD too many choices. I was going to do the Frost Flowers and Leaves but chickened out because I didn't think I would have time (still don't have my wool for the Feather and Fan from same book). The others are so beautiful too.

Go for the FF&L so I can drool with jealousy and lust.....pleeeezeee!

i have been planning to do the shetland tea shawl for a while - and today i got my yarn in the mail - from handpainted yarns!! so please do the shetland tea shawl - i would just love to see how yours turn out!!
