More Green, and a Little Blue

Just when my blogging mojo is starting to make an appearance, staffing issues at work distract me. So this entry will be short and sweet.

Spinning sweet.

Hand spun two-ply Superwash Merino Roving in the Secret Agent Man colorway. Hand dyed by the lovely and talented Teyani. Lovely, lovely roving spun up like a dream into this soft and springy yarn.

My husband has deemed this yarn suitable for “man socks”.

We’ll see.

The Pro’s: Good guy who fully supports all my fibery endeavors.
The Con’s: Size 11 ½ man feet!

Your spinning is jaw-droppingly pretty - I just love that yarn!

As for the feet - my Jacob wears a size 13/14... and he loves handknit socks. Good thing he's so awesome.

You made some beautiful yarn there! Size 11.5? Ugh!

You can do it..to knit with that beautiful yarn a little longer wouldn't be bad at all!

Beth:

Wow! Your yarn is so beautiful! I can understand why your husband wants some man socks knit from it. :)

The yarn looks fabulous, and it really WILL make great socks--no matter what the size!

Pretty yarn, Leah! I have to knit my husband some socks. He deserves them. But his size 13s are really daunting! I need to use at least DK weight if I'm ever going to tackle that.

glad to see that your spinning mojo is still running strong.
that came out so lovely!
lucky guy who'll get some socks from that handspun!

Beautiful handspun Leah! Socks for men are not so fun to knit though, imho.

lisa:

Oh wow, that is georgeous! Does size 11.5 need fingering weight socks?

my guy's size 10s get sport weight yarn and size 2s. maybe you could go up to size 3s?!? the yarn is lovely!

I love the name of that colorway!
